Plot in Baghdad

A thousand years ago, cruel pirates often attacked travelers and merchandise on the open seas. The pirates kidnapped the travelers, sold them as slaves and took all of their belongings.

\nRav Nissim of Alexandria, Egypt and his orphaned daughter Dinah were captured by pirates. They were brought against their will to Baghdad, where their lives and those of the local Jewish community were in mortal danger.
